Paying extra is not gonna do you any good and would probably do more harm, you'd re-age them and they'd stay on longer. No bank is gonna give you a lot of credit in this environment. Just be sure to pay off the credit cards you do have now in full every month. I'd start the dispute by saying they are not yours. DANTE

Just dispute them with the credit bureaus. Paying extra is not gonna do you any good and would probably do more harm, you’d re-age them and they’d stay on longer.

No bank is gonna give you a lot of credit in this environment. Just be sure to pay off the credit cards you do have now in full every month.

But you can rebuild your credit. Just make sure to pay all bills on time, if you have other credit cards, try to pay the full balance each month. By paying the full balance you will shoot your credit rating back up. The cards that allow you $500 will slowly raise your limit once they know you are at least paying minimum balance. The cards I have you can ask for a credit limit if you've made minimum payments for 12 months. FREDERICK
