Can you really trust getting a credit report from sites like, freecreditreport, equifax or experian.com?

I feel that giving out personal info to those websites, experian ect.. may just make real what I am trying to avoid. However, I have been told that my credit wasn’t good, but I don’t know why. I have like 0 debt. I need to know why i have bad credit. Where do people go to get a credit report that is 100% safe?
