Recommendations for a good paper shredder for personal use?

kimber181 asked:

Sorry I know this isn’t the right section to be asking but didn’t get any replies in consumers. I know this section is usually busy.
I need one, I have tons of personal papers, old pay stubs, old loans, credit reports, etc. that I need to get rid of. Don’t want to spend a fortune but dont want junk either. What would you suggest? Any that you think are better than others? Prices?

I JUST got one from Office Depot that’s AWESOME!

    Ativa DQ61Mn (item #: 943668) less than $45

I have a 10 page Aurora shredder I got from Wal-mart for $60. You can feed most anything threw it including unopened credit card junk mail. Anything under 8 pages is junk. Cross-cut is nice, but not really necessary for home use.

go to Costco, they have a Bulldog Shredder or a Fellows Shredder, I believe one or both of those is the name, there is a picture of a bull dog on the box, i love my shredder it’s fantastic

Personal shredders are slow and overheat after limited use (not to mention the constant replacing). If you have a large volume of paper to shred you need a large shredder. Try a shredding service if you are interested in saving time, saving money, and increasing your security.
