Many will give you your credit report for free but only if you sign up and pay for a credit monitoring service. That can be big bucks. Some may be scam phishing attempts to get your personal information.
If you want your credit reports go to and get it free with no strings attached.

No company wants to give you a credit report without being paid.
The companies that advertise “free” reports give you a report only if you subscribe to a service that costs more than a report.
You can get a free report at because it is required by the government to give free reports.
